TRYOUT PROCESS

Tuesday, April 16th  – Practice Day: 4:30 - 6:00 pm

Wednesday, April 17th  – Practice Day: 4:30 - 6:00 pm

Thursday, April 18th  – Tryout Day: Each athlete will receive a “Tryout Time Slot” Tuesday at the end of practice. This time will be given to them on a piece of paper AND an email with the time will also be sent to each family.

Also, please note that TRYOUTS are a closed event, no parent viewing.

 

ATTIRE
All cheerleaders must wear black athletic shorts (it is fine if they have a stripe down the side or around the edges), a plain white t-shirt tucked into their shorts, white no-show socks, and athletic shoes. Hair in a ponytail (white, black or maroon bow may be worn but not required).

 

TUMBLING REQUIREMENTS

None.

DOES EVERYONE MAKE THE TEAM?
No, not always.  At tryouts, cheerleaders are primarily judged on their ability to follow directions, their attitude throughout the process, and their enthusiasm.  While learning the cheer and dance are part of the tryout, it is not the main part of the judging. Jr Raiders Cheer is a feeder program so we expect to teach the girls the cheers and dances with proper technique during the season.

Results will be posted to our website on Friday, April 19 at 8:30 pm.
